In Access you can create a crosstab query. Can this be done in T-SQL?

Do a search on this site for crosstab or pivot and you should find a few postings. Jeff Moden has posted a cool set based solution several times.

By the way, if you only need this for reports, you can leave the data nice and normalized, and let the report itself do the crosstab for you.

I always try to start with Books Online... if you check the index for "cross-tab reports", you'll come up with a pretty decent explanation and some examples.
