  Hi,

  Is it correct to say that the Star schema is in line with what is advocated by Ralph Kimball, and the Snowflake schema is in line with what is advocated by Bill Inmon?

  Ralph Kimball is an advocate for enterprise data warehouse while Bill Inmon is an advocate for data mart. 

  In Ralph Kimball's datawarehouse book, he mentioined using both star schema and snowflake schema.  However most people use star schema.
