I've successfully created database mail profile and account using gmail account
smtp.gmail.com,
port: 587,
SSL enabled.
Now it shows the following error in database errorlog
-The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. Cannot send mail to mail servers(The SMTP server requires secure connection or the client was not authenticated.
Someone said I have to configure some settings in gmail account settings, but I cannot find out which ones.
Can someone help?

Did you supply user name and password for authentication while creating DBMail account?

You need to enable IMAP and POP under gmail settings. Please refer to below post for step by step instructions specific to gmail:

You may also need to setup an application password if you are using 2 step verification for your gmail:
