Developing SSIS packages in VS 2019 and running them on SQL Server 2014 and 2016

  • If I develop ssis packages in VS2019 will they be able to run on SQL Server 2014 and 2016?

  • When you create the project on SSDT (VS) you need to select the target SQL Server version - once you select 2014 you can use them on that SQL Version

  • Is SSIS dev in 2019 now working OK? I had assumed it would not be roadworthy until sometime next year, based on experience.
