Hi,
Does any know is it possible to have read-only secondary databases from 2 different AG groups on the same instance? This is to facilitate a reporting requirement where I would like read-only databases from 2 different instances to reside on the same instance (to avoid cross-instance queries etc)
AG 1:
OLTP1 (Prod, Primary): 5 databases - OLTP2 (DR, Secondary): 5 databases
Databases:
oltp1
oltp2
oltp3
oltp4
oltp5
AG 2:
DWH1 (Prod, Primary): 1 databases - DWH2 (DR, Secondary): 1 databases
Databases:
dwh1
New Reporting Instance -
Requirement: Read-only secondary of databases/replicas from the above 2 AG groups combined in this instance
Databases (readonly):
dwh1
oltp1
oltp2
oltp3
oltp4
oltp5
Thanks,
Harvey

If I understand you right this should be possible. We have a readable secondary reporting instance with two AGs where the primary replicas for these AGs are both different servers.
