SQLPowerdoc - support for a newer versions of MSSQL servers

  • Hello guys,

I am using this powershell tool for monitoring and documenting my MSSQL servers. When I run this tool for SQL version 2017, in the final excel file "xxx_Database Engine Config.xlsx" in the sheet "Server overview" in the column "Product name" is value "Microsoft SQL Server unknown".

Could you advice me what to do/change in which *.psm1 files to add support for this and others new versions?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

    Martin

  • have you had a look at this link?

I'm not associated with this so I can't bring more help to the table except maybe change the tool completely for something else like dbatools

  • Why not ask the people that made the tool?

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
