Hello All,
Hoping for some practical advice on the below:
I have Quest LiteSpeed installed, and I am confused about the best way to configure my SQL Backup Jobs.
How do I setup FLL/DEFF/LOG Jobs in the case of those databases that are on PRIMARY, and NOT in AG at all
How Do we deal with the jobs when the HAG failover to Secondary node.
Do we need to create three sets of Jobs? ( part of AG, Part of the second AG these are Secondary, Not part of AG)
If we do, do we use the SQL instance name, or the SQL Listener name?
Would that not make a difference?
Any guidance on running a production shop. I need help urgently.
LiteSpeed has been giving me problems a lot. I want to try native backups afresh.

Writing a backup solution for HAG can be a messy business.
I'm in the process of replacing a series of Mintenance Plans (not an attractive solution) with ola hallengren's backup solution.It is very flexible, used widely and has decent documentation.
I've been using this solution on our QA environment for a couple of months and after a couple of minor tweaks it is coping with failovers without any issues. It is certainly the best free solution I have come across.

I did not know that Ola's site has solution for HAG scenario too.
I will give it a shot.
