Availability Group creation on SQL2017 only has 2 options

    Hi,

    I want to create an availability group in SQL2017 with "Windows Server Failover Cluster". However this option is missing in the  "Specify Availability Group Options" section. I can only choose EXTERNAL or NONE. Anyone who can point me to the reason why this is like this? :/

    I have already enabled Failover Cluster feature on both replicas and created a cluster.

    Just to inform you, I have found a probable cause and resolved the issue.

    I think it had to do withe the connection from SqlServer to the failover cluster. When I disabled and enabled AlwaysOn in properties of the instance, the third option appeared in the creation window.
