File share change in quorum settings on WFOC Windows 2012 R2

  Are there any gotchas in changing a file share quorum in a WFOC ( 3 node multi-subnet on Windows2012 R2) .

  Running multiple versions of SQL instances.

  We are to change the current s\share address from one host to another file share server.

  Is this a straight forward thing as presented in the Wizard ? or one must take any steps in preparation?

  I have never changed it previouosly once it is set.. A bit nervous because it is a produciton server cluster.

  Any advice is appreciated.

  Not sure how your setup is but you can

  Make sure Cluster account has access to a new file share location.

  1. Create a new file share quorum
  2. Validate Cluster by choosing Cluster Configuration -->> Validate Quorum Configuration
  3. Delete old file share.
