Cannot Register Analysis Services to Analysis Manager

    Hi ...

    I am trying to register analysis server in the Analysis Manager. It gives me error:

    "You must register the analysis server in the registry or you are not a member of analysis admin group".

     

    Please help me where i can check these registry information as well as how to check that i am a member of analysis admin group or not?

     

    I am running WinXP.

    That doesn't sound like the exact error. Try adding the userid you are trying to register with into the "OLAP Administrators" group. Make sure that all the *.dll files under "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin\ " directory is registered.
