to change the netbios name on a replication server

    Hello everyone

    I have a server in transactional replication

    I have a netbios change request from this server

    the Publisher and Distribution Server are configured on the same server

    what will be the impact of this change on the good functioning of my replication

    must change the logical no of this server through the command

    exec sp drop server servername

    SQL Server doesn't support the rename when it's involved in replication. You would need to remove the replication, do the rename and add the replication back again using the new server name.
