There are few things you need to be aware of with SSIS before applying service pack 1. The way dates are treated has changed and the service mat not start applying the service pack. The links below explain. I believe there is a hot fix being released to fix the service not starting which is to do with a certificate.

Also if you use SSRS then the SELECT ALL parameter has gone (This is intentional)

I have applied it in my development envrionment and apart from the SSIS service stupidity have found it to be OK although I am waiting before I deploy it onto my live servers.

Personally I have had some issues with upgrading to SP1 (like the above links and more), but no problems with a fresh install.
