Any ideas why SQL 2005 would flag the following as not meeting the minimum specs?
AMD Athlon XP 2000 (1.67 GHz)
1 GB ram
70 GB free hard drive space

To reiterate ...What's the OS and SP level ... Use My Computer|Properties ... Is it possibly Windows 2003 Web Edition ?
The message you indicate is somewhat misleading because I received the exact same message when trying to install on the 'Web' addition - it was a quad CPU server with 4 Gb of RAM as well !

We're running 2000 here, so my info may be outdated, but ...
You can't install a full-blown instance of SQL Server 2000 on Windows XP, but just client tools or only the bare minimum components to ensure a client connection to a SQL database. Isn't that still true for SQL Server 2005?
