My OS is Win 2K. I have a ASP application with SQL Server 8.0 that uses Reporting Services 2000 for reports.
Now i want to upgrade the RS 2000 to RS 2005. Do i need to upgrade anything else to work with RS 2005.
I just want to make sure if i buy the license for RS 2005 and install, that my application will continue to work.
Thanks.

Nobody has answered because it is a loaded question. If someone would buy a license and install this software based on a response here they should have their head examined. Even if it stated by the book that this was all that was required, there is really no way to know without doing it. And if your intent is to not break the application you will buy the license, and do quite a few test installs on separate hardware. Even if it goes smoothly duing the test installs, hopefully you will have planned for it not to go smoothly on the real deal. I once tested a remote migration ten to twelve times successfully only to have it fail during the real two hour window because someone was on the machine "watching" and locked some file that had never been locked during the tests. Do you need to upgrade anything else? Probably But you're not going to find out without trying. Aren't there still downloads on MSDN for "developer" licenses? so you can try before you buy? I believe so. I am a Microsoft Business Partner and all my software comes cheaply or free... until I deploy, and then the licenses kick in. Good luck! It should be fun. You ARE doing the right thing in upgrading though.
