  The current size of the log file for a database is 2TereBytes. 

  There is a killed rolled back backup process which is not letting me to shrink the log file. 

  If I take the server offline and then bring it online, this database may not be available for some time because the rollback process may continue reading the log file which is 2TB.

  So what do you recommend?

  What specifically is your log_reuse_wait_desc for that database?

  Hi,
  you are able to attach the mdf file without the ldf file. But you may lost a lot of data.
  If you are not able to lost your data, you had to wait:

  I had to attach a mdf file without a ldf file, because  a big rollback won't finish in 4 days.
