IP Problme

    If I change IP address of my server mechine then all my clints receive error message that server does not exists or access denied how can i resolv this problem

  • You need to know what is not working, the IP resoluion or is the IP number hard coded in the ODBC or program.

    Try this, ping the server by name from the workstation.

    If you get unknow hosts then you need to add a DNS record or hosts file entry.

    Does a new install on a workstation work?  Then it could be the ODBC setup is using the old IP and not the name of the server.

    Re run the setup program on all the workstations.
