Hi,
Receiving attached Error while scheduling database backup with multiple backup files.
Job was working fine till last week but I wanted to setup cleandup activity before backup hence dropped the job and started creating new job
but now it's not allowing to create backup job with multile backup files.
I have even restarted the Windows server and DB server but still the issue persist.
Can you please advise or provide steps to resolve the issue?
Appreciate your support and co-operation.
Thanks & Regards,
Santosh

First of all, the error you are getting is a folder permission error, have you checked that issue? Secondly, don't use the maintenance plans, use Ola Hallengren's SQL Server Maintenance Solution instead.

We have verified permission of folder. Is this Tool free of cost and will it create any performance impact.

did you check that for each file you specified that there was not a syntax error in the fileshare path? in your screenshot, we can only see a few of them.
also, +1 for Ola Hallengren's scripts. They are free and highly regarded in the SQL community. But as anything, test it out first on a test system.
the backup scripts can automatically clean up files older than X hours using the CleanupTime parameter

It's free and performs much better than most.
