I have 2 questions about this QOD...
1 - What's C2 Audit Mode??? 🙂
2 - I'm a UK developer writing an application for a US client and wasn't aware of this possible state law - can anyone tell me what states it applies to and is there a good resource where I can find out about other US laws I should know about.
TIA

Thisis from BOL = "C2 auditing is necessary if you are running a C2 certified system. A C2 certified system meets a government standard that defines the security level. To have a C2 certified Microsoft® SQL Server™, you must configure SQL Server in the evaluated C2 configuration. For more information about C2 certification, see the C2 Administrator's and User's Security Guide. That can be found on the Microsoft web site."
I don't think C2 is necessary unless you're working for a US government client who requires it.
