I had an article published yesterday on http://www.SQLShack.com.
Intro to Auditing in SQL Server.
It’s worth reading if I do say so myself. In it I go through several different methods for generating data that might be required by an auditor. I range from adding auditing columns to each table to using SQL Server Audits. I even include some best practice tips I’ve picked up over the years. I hope you enjoy it. It was certainly interesting to write.
And while you are there you might give some of the other articles a look through. I read SQL Server Confidential – Part I – Crypto basics and SQL Server Cryptographic Features by Jasmin Azemovic today and was quite impressed. I’ve also added a number of other articles to my list to read as I have time. It’s looking to be a great site with lots of interesting articles and I’ll be adding it to my Study and Reference Tools page for reference later on.
