  Maybe this is a basic question, but I am really confused. Is there a way to querry the LDAP from inside the CMS?

  I'm not sure what you mean by "from inside the CMS", but does this help?

  I'm also insure of what you mean by "inside the CMS" but I did some work extracting LDAP details a while back - LDAP - Using SQL to get Active Directory details
