I've been getting this email from the SQL Server Central website's daily for at least 2 months, notifying me of a job which has been closed at least 2 months. The email reads:
Senior ASP.NETDeveloper, C#, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Team Foundati

PLEASE STOP IT! I CANNOT APPLY FOR A JOB THAT HAS BEEN CLOSED!

Job alerts are controlled by a third-party company, so there's no button I can press to make them stop immediately. I'll get in touch with them and ask them to remove this job from their system, I'll let you know how I get on.

Very cool, Dave. While we have your attention, rumor also has it that an upgrade was supposed to occur on the forum software in November (and I had worked with the 3rd party developer specifically on the aspects of posting code and the use of formatting features for non-code) to fix some of the posting problems. Did anything come of that?

I had assumed that nothing happened with this. That company contacted me about helping with testing but after I responded that I would be willing to help I never heard anything else. Odd since they were very responsive during testing of the major upgrade last year or whenever that was.

Re: the forum changes, we had hoped to work on the upgrade in November, but the devs were pulled for some time-sensitive work. We're now hoping to get started in February.

BTW... the ultimate goal for posted code should be to simply copy and paste it into an SQL Code window and have the same colors and leading spaces that are available in SSMS... like we used to do before the upgrade.

Yep. Each and every day. Up to 12/24/2017. I have every reason to believe I'll get it again today, Christmas day, it just hasn't come out yet.
Well, since this job alert functionality is broken, I'm going to set up a rule in MS Outlook to automatically delete it. I'm hoping that the job alert will eventually be fixed, so I won't get rid of it on SQL Server Central. @dave-3, please let me know when it is fixed. I'll continue to subscribe to this forum thread so I'll know when you believe it's fixed and I'll disable the rule in Outlook.
