Hey all,
I have been a DBA for about four years now and in order to help pad my resume and prove I have a fundamental understanding of SQL server, I am thinking of finally going to knock out my MCSA.
Question is, is it still worth it to take the 2012 exams, or should I wait for the 2016 exams to get out of beta and then go take them?
Which would help out the best in the short term if I was going to start job hunting early next spring?
I will cross post this to the 2012 forum as well.
Thanks!

From my own experience the MCSA is a certification that let people know yo have a general MS SQL data platform knowledge. Whether it is SQL2012, SQL2014 or SQL2016 is not the thing companies take from the certification. That part is taken from the references and your hands-on experience from the current (and previous) job.

I am also confused on taking 2012/2014 Or 2016.
As per Microsoft, 2016 Exam are in beta version and we won't get result of exam immediately, we will get after
3-4 weeks.
I had chat with Microsoft representative on this and he/she said candidate get full credit if he passes 2016 beta.
