SSIS ODBC Connection manager error when testing connection

  • Hey guys, I'm trying to create an ODBC connection manager. I open the admin tools, select ODBC Data Source Administrator (32-bit), create the User Data Source. But when I open the odbc connection manager and select the new User data source from the drop down I get the following error. Any one know how to correct this?

    TITLE: Connection Manager

    ------------------------------

Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. ERROR [HY024] [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.

ERROR [IM006] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed

ERROR [HY024] [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.

    BUTTONS:

    OK

  • Turned out I needed to copy the access database over to the VM I was running the package on.
