Hi All,
we are planning to upgrade the application which is configured with AOAG. during upgrade process we are going to pause the data moment for all secondary nodes.
If up-gradation fails we are planning to remove the primary replica.
My question, Here all secondary nodes databases are in restoring state. if we remove primary replica what is the status of secondary replica?
we need to bring the secondary replica databases in to primary replica databases state (Online)
could you please some one help me on this.
configuration:
4-Replica
2- Synchronous commit
2-asynchronous commit

Hi All,
I have the answer.
Yes we can remove primary replica. Once we remove primary replica secondary synchronous commit replica will become primary if the AOAG is configured with Automatic failover.
Thank you
