windows authentication login

  • Hi all, i am trying to create windows login in select user or group window,i am clicking on check names button it is not getting the object name why? please help.

  • Hi- please don't post the same thread more than once.

  • if the "object name" is not found, try hitting the "Locations..." button, before you "Check Names".

    The top level domain name, may not be selected. You may wish to search a different domain, or your local machine. Select the domain you need, or even use "Entire Directory" -- and, try using "Check Names" again, after you've selected the domain.

  • I know the default is to search for a local windows user related to the server name;

    You probably need to change toe location to to browse to find the domain users
