SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('ProductUpdateLevel') SHOWING NULL

  • Good Morning Experts,

I had applied CU7(cumulative update 7) to SQL Server 2012 EE SP1 instance. After applying, when i queried SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('ProductUpdateLevel'), it is displaying as NULL instead of CU7. Could you please help.

According to BOL, it will return NULL if it is not applicable.

Could be that it needs a restart of the services.

Oh I didn't check the dates on the update. It's normal because the update is prior to late 2015. CUs after this date should show in ProductUpdateLevel.
