ssis 2012 - write to application eventlog window

    Hello,
    I am working on a ssis package that someone else created.
    It seems whenever thepackage fails then there will be an entry into the windows log (Application) i.e. packageName "xxxx" failed
    I checked the package in the EventHandler tab but all tasks are disabled in this tab.
    Question:
    How can I find out if there is something in the package which is writing to the windows log or is this something that happens by default whenever there is an error in the package?

    Please read this. This is the key sentence:

    The package will log the messages in the following table even if you have not enabled logging for the package.
