    Hi

    Sorry to post this here but i'm struggling for help, i've just started using Teradata and theres a lot of simple things I am struggling to get a grip of

    can I declare variables?

    DECLARE i INT DEFAULT 1;

    for example, but im getting an invalid query error?

    thanks very much for the reply

    I have looked at lots of information and been on a short course

    if anyone has any teradata experience itd be really nice to ask some direct questions

    some around declaring variables as above
