Hi all,
I need to migrate couple of DB's of SQL 2008 to SQL 2016
there is a replication setup between old servers
Just need to know if there are any benefits of using Always on instead of replication
I need to create a pros & cons kind of document for the department
Thanks

Availability Groups is a HA solution. The secondaries are up to date with the primary, but either inaccessible or read only

there are some difference b/w replication and always on features. I'd like to know any dependent systems those have been pulling data from your team ?
