Not able to download SSRS reports 2008 from the reports manager

    Hi all,

    I am stuck with a problem. I am trying to download the reports from theSSRS reports manager. however, I am getting this error The operation you are attempting on item 'LinkedReport' is not allowed for this item type. (rsWrongItemType). I am also not able to edit reports using the report builder 3.0. Get the same error.

    If anyone knows what it is, please let me know.

    A linked report is a shortcut to another report. A linked report doesn't have an rdl file so you can't download anything. If you go into the properties of the report you will be able to see the "master" report it is linked to.
