Hi All,
For tuning poorly performing query on a Testing server or local SQL instance on a Laptopn, we used to run below 2 commands to free the plan cache and buffer cache to properly measure
query performance. Now, I am getting an error on SQL Azure database that these command s are not supported. IF I want to do this, is there any alternative steps to clean buffers and clear plan cache?
DBCC FREEPROCCACHE
DBCC DROPCLEANBUFFERS
Thanks,
Sam

I pointed you to this bit of documentation once before. I'd suggest reading all through it. It's going to help you quite a bit with Azure SQL Database.
