Hi,
when I open a new query window (SQL2016), the connection is disconected for 20 Seconds. Then reconnect is finished...
But only when Visual-Studio2015 is open at the same time. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
(Option: Disconnect after Query Execution is not set)
Thanks
Regard
Nicole 😉

If you close SSMS and reopen it, does the problem go away?

The problem happens for me only after a reboot. One restart of SSMS fixes the problem ... until the next reboot.
There is some sort of link to VS, I just haven't had the shutdown/reboot patience to work out whether there is a sequence of doing things which avoids the issue.
