For those of you who may have been living under a rock for the last few years every year PASS holds a summit which is a huge multi-day technical conference on your favourite RDBMS – SQL Server. This year the summit is being held 15th-18th October in Charlotte, NC. You can register for the event if you haven’t already done so here.
To help you make up your mind PASS have published the schedule which can be found online here. Last year was my first time at the summit, in fact it was my first time in the US so the whole thing was uber exciting for me and at some point I will dig out my photo’s and upload them to my Facebook page.
Unfortunately I was only able to go to one session as I was working on the Dell booth, this year I know that I am going to be able to at least double that as I am presenting two sessions. The “proper” session is a joint one with Patrick O’Keeffe where we will be discussing Best Practices for Optimizing SQL Server with Solid State Disk. The second is a rather tongue in cheek Lightning talk Teaching Nerds T-SQL with “Star Wars”.
Hope to see you there.
