In previous versions of SQL, I have seen that the upgrade path from a CTP to a RTM version was unsupported. I was wondering if this can be done in 2016? We have begun some testing and as it is somewhat time-consuming to set up, we were wondering if it was even possible to upgrade in-place once the RTM come out.
Also, anyone know the estimated release date of 2016 RTM? I have seen a post or two alluding to Q1 2016, but nothing more definite.
Thanks!

I strongly recommend a fresh install. CTPs are notorious for not uninstalling cleanly.
A release date has not been set by Microsoft, hence you won't see any dates.

Gail,
Thanks for your feedback. I had a feeling that was the case, but I wanted to get someone else's input. Hopefully MS will make more information available soon.
Thanks!
