Dear all,
That is an annoying problem I have with ssdt and (just today) ssms. Even though I change the ms download site from de-de to en-us, I only get the German version to download.
Can someone give me a hint? I'd so much love to not being patronised on the language to use by MS.:)

That is obnoxious. I've had to play with this a little bit when out of the country awhile back and I think to some extent it might be browser specific in terms of workarounds.
You can use a VPN - some free ones let you specify the country. Check if add-ons are available for your browser for this.
You could also try a free proxy service, get a US IP address and port and set that up in your browser. But those are often not too safe - don't allow https, some have used the PCs as a botnet, etc.
Also try searching on the phrase: stop country redirect
That should give you some different things to try with whatever browser. You can try adding your browser in the phrase to narrow things down.

Thank you, that reminds me of the tricks for being able to view youtube videos in your country you're not supposed to, it's so long ago I had time for that:/...
Anyway... We don't need that, I missed sth. on the download sites for ssdt (and ssms): When you scroll down the download page you'll find the chapter Available Languages and here - it seems - you can also download the English version.
Sorry for the low-level interrupt.
