Hi Everyone,
Over the weekend, we placed our major database on a SSD based SAN. Prior to that, the database / tempdb latency was high, now practically non-existent. Interestingly enough, now that the SAN is no longer the bottleneck, the 'network' resource wait is averaging around 2000ms.
The box running SQL has 300GB RAM. Can anyone provide some details (in simpler terms, Jr. DBA here 🙂 behind this 'network' resource wait parameter, and what measures I can take in reducing that ?
Regards,
SQLJay

Quick thought and in simple terms;-) possible problem here is the client's data consumption rate, the server is waiting on the client to accept the delivery of the data.
