  Hi All,

  I need a suggestion regarding shrinking of SQL Server Log files as it is creating space problem for us in the server.

  i need a suggestion/comments about shrinking of database log files...

  Hi,

  On what is your recovery model set to ? You can set this to Simple to assist with the log sizes.

  However, there are a few things you need to be aware of before setting it to simple.

  For example :

  Your current backup plan ( do you make use of log shipping )

  The database, can you afford to restore the previous last full backup if problem occur or do you need to restore from the log file ?

  Hi,

  Recovery mode set to simple. we will recover data from the full backup files instead of log..
