I have a report that I deployed to the HOME section of my SSRS 2016 portal. This report uses a subreport ... which I deployed to a folder "SubReports".
When I run the the main report it states:
Error: Subreport could not be shown.
Now ... I assume that somehow I can specify where a report's sub reports are located?

I found a sloppy work around. By ensuring the reports are in the same folder ... it works. I then just hide the sub report.
Unless I am missing something I can't imagine its not possible to link a main report to specific sub report that is located in another folder.
Nice Going Microsoft.
Probably gonna get proven wrong ... 😀

It sounds like if you want your subreport to be in a folder on the same report server you can just specify a relative path when you are designing the main report.
