Transaction on database

  • Hello everyone,

i would like to know it's possible to find all transaction(insert, delete, update) on a database for a day. if yes what can i do.

    thank you.

  • Il your database is in FULL recovery mode, you could use something like Apex Log Explorer to retrieve all transactions from transaction log backups.

Otherwise, there is the option to set up a SQL trace or a Extended events trace to capture all inserts/updates/deletes, but it can harm performances.

    Is this an interview question?

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
