Hi All
We have installed SSRS 2016 on 2 azure windows 2012 r2 server and have an issues
We keep getting this error Could not load folder contents Something went wrong. Please try again later
looking at the network traffic with fiddler this happens when we get a few 504 http error like this
/Reports/assets/img/fi/favicon-96x96.png
/Reports/api/v1.0/SafeGetSystemResourceContent(type='UniversalBrand',key='logo')
/Reports/assets/lib/js/application-insights/application-insights.js
/Reports/api/v1.0/catalogitems(c88d408-b4b-4a4-8f7-8b94f829)/Model.Folder/catalogitems/?$orderby=name%20ASC
this happens in IE 11 and google chrome
The happens on both servers when accessing from a desktop or laptop but if you access them from the the server directly via RDP we have no issues?
I think this could be network related has anyone had the same issue?
Kind regards
The Monkey

Just a quick update we check for packet drops between the server and our office but all seems fine so the issue is not related to that???

Update:
I found this on Connect https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/3134731/ssrs-2016-sp1-cu3-list-view-report-bug
Looks like its an issue with SQL Server 2016, SP1 CU3. It has been fixed for CU4
Hi
I'm also encountering this issue however it only appears when the Reports are in List View. If the User has the Reports in Tiles view this error does not appear.
Based on the above and the fact it works for the User in Tiles view, I assume that the permissions are all correct (unless of course Tiles view has a bug and List view implements a different security configuration 🙂 )
We are on SP1 CU3.
Our investigation has noticed the following:-
If you hover over the Name of the report in tile view it shows up like http://ServerName/Reports/ReportName.rdl
If you hover over the Name of the report in list view it shows up like http://ServerName/reports/#
In List view if you click on the 3 dots and choose "Open" , the report opens correctly.
Does this happen for others in that, the error message only appears in one of the views and not the other?
Thanks
Darren
