Vulnerability in Microsoft SQL Server Could Allow Remote Code Execution

  • Hello,

Could some please explain to me the following "A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Microsoft SQL Server that could allow remote code execution on an affected system."

What method can an attacker exploit this vulnerability?

Through an affected user's PC that is infected with malware?

Can attack happen if the SQL server is not exposed to the Internet?

    Thanks in advance.
