Out of memory message when user try to login on application

  • Hello,

We have a very small database with SQL server 2014 (10 GB of ram). From the last week , when users were trying to login to through the application, they are receiving out of memory message. I have checked the memory related counter and it seems ok to me. We have set up min memory to 3 GB and max memory to 7 GB ( lowered from 8 GB to 7 GB now).

Can anyone please help with this? This is an urgent ongoing issue and need to be fix as soon as possible. Any comments would be greatly appreciate.

Out of memory where - SQL Server, OS, Client PC, is there an app server or where is the application located? And what is the exact error? And what's in the Windows event logs, SQL Server error log?

It seems like we found the issue. Somebody change the auto close setting for few of the databases recently. We are changing the setting and we will see if that resolve the issue.
