error loading package failed to decrypt protected xml node DTS:Password Key not valid for use in specified stateyou may not be authorized to bview this information

  • Hi,

    I get an error when trying to open an SSIS package from TFS using Visual studio 2014..

    This is the error:

    error loading package failed to decrypt protected xml node DTS:Password Key not valid for use in specified state you may not be authorized to view this information

    Could anyone please suggest what I might be missing. This package has been developed by a person who left the company. I think he had admin permissions on the servers.

    Thank you,

    Veena

  • The previous user had EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey for the package. What is the best way for me to edit the package and deploy to SSIS catalog and have it run the same way as before. Could anyone please suggest.

    Thanks,

    Veena

  • My connections from SSIS catalogs show Provider=MSOLAP.6;Integrated Security=SSPI;Impersonation Level=Impersonate;

    I am so confused about how all the security is working. If it uses the connection string above, does it mean it uses the SQL server agent service account for connections?

    Please suggest.
