Has anyone seen this yet? My question is in a clustered environment it says to apply to the active node first. Usually they say apply to inactive node first, fail over SQL Server then and then apply to the now inactive node. So, they are saying do it backwards and I wonder why?
I just applied the patch to two unused SQL2008 R2 SP2 CU7s. It basically takes it up just past CU13.
It took 14 minutes to apply.

I got an answer from Microsoft on the Patch Update Conference call. They said applying the patch to the inactive node, failing SQL over to it then patching the now inactive node is fine. They are going to update their documentation on this.
Has ANYONE applied this patch yet? I have on a few non Prod SQL Servers so far.

I'll be applying it to my QA servers either tomorrow or Saturday. I've got no clustered SQL to worry about though, so there's that...
