Not sure if anyone has seen this before. I have created a report that has fields in a header that has an expression "=ReportItems!Donor_LegalName.Value". It extracts the data from the Donor_LegalName which is in the Tablix.
I do not want the column to show in the tablix so have set it to Hidden.
When I do this it hides the cloumn but also the filed in the header is Invisible when I view it normally in either SSRS or Visual Basic BUT if in Visual Basic I change to "print Layout" the data in the header can be seen. In SSRS if I export to Adobe the data shows but export to Excel is does not show. If I make the column "show" it shows everywhere.
Any suggestions?

Not sure why, as I just tried the same thing and it did not hide the text box in the header after hiding the column in the tablix.
You can set the visibility of the text box in the header, have you tried that?
