How are we supposed to know which is the original node in cluster?
For instance I have 3 node cluster A, B, C
A failed to B, but it's original node is A.
How to determine that A is supposed to be in A?

your architecture document that you created for this system will indicate where you wish the production service to run, consult that first

You can also look at the preferred owner list list of the cluster resource group. You can modify the order of this list.
That doesn't guarantee which node originally owned the resource before failover.
