There is something about the Silicon Valley that attracts the innovative and creative individuals. The “misfits, rebels, troublemakers, and the round pegs in square holes” come here as dreamers and leave the valley as billionaires world changers. The Silicon Valley provides the opportunity and platform to make a difference for those who dare to dream.
On Saturday, I will be in Silicon Valley. I’m not hoping to “to put a dent in the universe.” But I’m sure I will leave the place equipped with a better knowledge of SQL Server.
I will be driving about ~400 miles to get there but it’s worth the drive – the event is not only FREE but also provides Quality SQL Server Training. The speakers scheduled to give sessions are well-respected individuals in the SQL Server Community.
I haven’t been good at connecting with people at the past SQL Saturday events that I’ve attended. I’m an introvert by nature; I’m quite shy in person. I “talk” a lot online but not in person. This is also one of the reasons why I’m attending this particular SQL Saturday event in Silicon Valley. I want to become a better person and a better community connector. It will start in Silicon Valley.
I may not be the first person to say “hi”. If I see you but did not say a word, that doesn’t mean I don’t like to talk to you. It’s just the introvert in me overcoming me. Please say hi if you recognize me.
I am looking forward to learning more about SQL Server. And I am looking forward to making friends.
See you there!
