Can you install earlier verion of SQL Server when there is already an upper version installed on a Server?

    Hi I have a server where SQL Server 2008R2 is already installed. Can I also install SQL server 2005 now on the same server? regards

    You should be able to install 2005 as a named Instance just fine without any issues in your scenario.

    Well...I never was in this situation but I don't see a reason why you can't.
