Hi-
Need suggestions from SQL experts!!!
We are looking for a solution where we can automate the SQL cluster patching end to end. We do have solutions/tools where we can do that but the scheduling is still a manual process.
We are looking for a solution where a process will read our database where we have defined the monthly patching window for all SQL servers, find out the node which needs to be patched on a particular day, identify the other nodes and run the patching on its own. That includes fail-over the resources, patch the node, fail-back and patch the other node.
Do we have any tool available in market which can perform this end to end patching of clusters. We don't want to schedule the patching by manually passing the cluster server name and define the sequence. We can use Microsoft Cluster Aware Updating for that.
Thanks in advance!!!

My personal thought, DBA's will not accept automating the patch update.
If we automate the failing over to other node, we should make sure the node back online and no issue and safe to apply patches. Some time the fail over will not be smooth and need manual check.
