Hi All,
We are currently running two 2 node clusters in different datacenters using mirroring to replicate the databases.
We would like to move to always on groups but we are a bit confused.
Can we run our windows cluster across two datacenters (two different subnets) without storage replication or any kind of shared storage?
do we require a third datacentre for quorum?
Once the windows failover cluster is build I understand the always on groups are pretty straightforward.
There is so many different opinions and articles out there that may or may not be accurate.
Thanks
Jack

Search SQLServerCentral for Perry Whittle Always On Staircase. Great series to get you pointed in the right direction.
PLEASE do be careful though! Always On is chock FULL of caveats, limitations, bugs, provisos, gotchas, etc. etc. It is SOOOO easy to get yourself in a pickle!
